Holy cow, talk about peppers...I have more everyday. None to go to waste though. Here is a recipe given to me by a little old lady I used to wait on.
HOT OR MILD PEPPER RINGS
- (1) PECK PEPPERS OR CUT AND ADD AS THEY RIPEN
- (1) QUART VINEGAR (WINE OR CIDER)
- (1) PINT OIL (CANOLA OR OLIVE)
- 24OZ. WISHBONE ITALIAN DRESSING
- 3/4 CUP WATER
- 1/2 CUP SALT
- 1/3 CUP OREGANO
- 4 WHOLE CLOVES OF GARLIC
STIR ALL INGREDIENTS TILL SALT IS DISSOLVED
ADD THE PEPPERS CUT INTO RINGS...LEAVE A FEW SEEDS
PUT INTO MASON JARS AND REFRIDGERATE
THEY KEEP A LONG TIME AND ARE REAL CRISPY
I USE THEM ON SANDWICHES AND IN COOKING AND THE NEAT THING IS YOU CAN MAKE THE JUICE UP, REFRIDGERATE AND ADD THE PEPPERS AS YOU GO!!!
Hope you enjoy the recipie now off to the store to by some ingredients. Chop, chop.
